I worked closely with Mike for a number of years on a couple of projects. He was, boss, mentor and friend to me. We shared a love ofcuries and indulged ourselves in locations all over the UK. The thing I shall remember most about Mike is not what he did, but what he didn't do. He never once lost his temper, and believe me some of my masterstrokes warranted it! He would just shake his head and suggest a way out of the mess I had gotten myself in. A truly gentle man, who I am honoured to have known. My deepest condolences go to Pam and Jim.
